ArtI enjoyed doing the art portion for this project. I thought it was a interesting way to show color through something that is alive in the mind. I decided that for this project I was going to illustrate myself in the form of a woman's silhouette. Throughout the body, each chakra is placed on the body where it is placed on the my body. In both hands, is a sun or a moon. I believe that when you meditate and balance your chakra, you are balanced as day and night is. Throughout the day you are calmer and more powerful within yourself, and I tried to portray balance. For this project I used a different arm form than usual. I first painting a blue and purple sunset and let it dry, then I drew and painted the girl and used mod-podge to place her on as a technique to really outline the girl and the background. EnglishI decided to take a blog approach for my English project. After researching the effects chakras have on the body and learning how they can potentially balance the body and how to achieve it, I began to do it for myself. Each day, whether it was yoga, a small affirmation, or a color or type of vitamin enriched food. Then, I began to document in a journal the effects it showed for me personally. I felt that balancing each chakra made me feel more calm and focused throughout the day. I also made a powerpoint for this project explaining the effects of balancing chakras and a small summary for what I did to balance it and its personal benefits for me. Finally, I wrote a essay explaining what I was expecting, the benefits and a explanation on how it personally helped.
